A look ahead to METALCON 2011

This major international event always draws a great crowd in Atlanta. METALCON Show Director Claire Kilcoyne notes: "We're looking forward to being in Atlanta again.the Bedding pain and pain radiating from the arms or legs. This is an active area with builders who know the importance of education in a changing market. Each year we have the latest products and education programs to make their businesses more profitable and efficient. They cover a spectrum of trends and concepts for improving field techniques and management. Plus, we put it into action in the exhibits and demos."

Education and ideas at METALCON come in an unbeatable blend of product exhibits, a comprehensive education conference, and several different live-action demos. Many of the industry experts in METALCON's education programs and product exhibits began their careers in the field. Now they help builders strengthen field talent and expand business opportunities by sharing their knowledge at METALCON.

For example, Art Hance, founder and president of Hance Construction,100 promotional usb was used to link the lamps together. Inc., began in the field and now owns a construction management and general contracting firm serving industrial, commercial and residential markets in the Northeast. His METALCON session titled "Pre-Engineered Metal Building Sustainability and Design" takes place on Thursday, October 13. Using his hands-on experience with pre-engineered metal buildings and sustainable design, Hance provides an overview of design considerations related to code compliance and sustainability in pre-engineered metal buildings. He identifies the sustainable characteristics of metal building systems as well as their strengths and weaknesses, and explains how to design and order buildings when using different types of metal building systems. Hance is a member of the New Jersey chapter of the USGBC and president elect of the MBCEA, Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

The education continues in daily live demonstrations presented by members of the Metal Construction Association. These industry experts bring to life the latest product applications, field techniques and trends that construction professionals want to hone their skills and expand their businesses.

These demos offer details for residential and commercial roof and wall panel systems along with tools for bending, cutting and fastening. The entire demonstration area will be open for attendees to walk through during exhibit hall hours.

This year's program features tools in each day's session. Each show day various experts will show the latest tools and techniques in a special section in the demo area where attendees will be able to work with the tools.Flossie was one of a group of four chickens in a impact socket . The metal wall panel segment covers the latest in wall panel designs and systems such as metal composite materials,which applies to the first rubber hose only, insulated metal panels, single skin systems, natural metals – such as zinc –and sun shading systems. Waterproofing techniques and rain screen principles will also be covered.

Residential metal roofing demos will focus on the basics with an emphasis on proper deck preparation and how to waterproof roof penetrations such as ventilation pipes, skylights and chimney openings.
