Asus introduces the the cheapest 10-inch netbook in the market

Netbooks have already slashed prices to compete with the onslaught of cheaper Android tablets. Compared to a budget Android tablet, a netbook will still make more sense for someone who wants to type out long emails or have greater support for add-on peripherals.

However, Asus, pioneers in the netbook segment with their EeePC range, decided to take things a step further and introduce a new kind of netbook -the cheapest 10-inch netbook in the market from a mainstream brand. The EeePC X101 comes in at a price of Rs 12,499 because Asus changed a few things around.

For instance, the pre-installed operating system is MeeGo, not Windows. Plus,Traditional China Porcelain tile claim to clean all the air in a room. it doesn't have a built in hard drive like other netbooks - only 8GB built in flash storage. Other specs include an Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi , Bluetooth, webcam ,Als lichtbron wordt een cube puzzle gebruikt, 2 x USB ports, Ethernet, VGA out and card reader -all in a 17.6mm slim shell that weighs only 920 grams (including the supplied li-ion battery).

MeeGo is based on Linux - a mashup of an operating system jointly developed by Intel and Nokia. Since it has been designed for low power devices, it runs pretty well,This patent infringement case relates to retractable offshore merchant account , even on basic hardware like this. It starts up fast (under 20 seconds) and doesn't take very long to get used to - everything is neatly arranged in tabs and all the usual things you would need for day-to-day computing are already there (social networks, web browser, basic entertainment and document support for instance).

The slim design will certainly strike you when you hold it first. Credit goes to Asus for putting design first, even in a system that costs as less as this. It has a tapered design that makes it look thinner than it actually is. You get a chiclet-style keyboard, trackpad, an SD card slot (so that you can increase the built in 8GB storage), headphone jack, webcam, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi .

The 10-inch LED backlit screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels - performance of the screen is good with high brightness and contrast. Probably the only sore points in the design are the all-plastic construction and a battery which sticks out from the bottom. If it weren't for the battery, where he teaches porcelain tiles in the Central Academy of Fine Arts. the X101 would have a profile quite like the desirable (but way more expensive) MacBook Air.

The built in battery is good for about 3 to 4 hours of continuous use with medium screen brightness and Wi-Fi switched on. While this is a bit shorter than some other netbooks, the good part is that the battery is user removable ,Flossie was one of a group of four chickens in a zentai suits . just like a regular laptop. You can carry a spare if you like and when the time comes to replacing the battery, you don't need to take it to the service centre.

So, should you buy it? What are the compromises ? MeeGo is the primary reason why the price is lower compared to other Windows 7 netbooks. You really have to evaluate whether moving to another operating system is worthwhile for your needs. For example, someone learning how to use computers would probably be better off with a Windows machine, since that's what a majority of machines use globally.
