CBN Cashless Policy - Altech Establishes Smart Card Plant

Altech recently affirmed its commitment to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)'s new policy,The application can provide Ceramic tile to visitors, which is geared at moving Nigeria into the cashless economy through the establishment of a smart card factory in sub-Sahara Africa in Lagos.

Speaking at the official inauguration of Altech West Africa's high technology plastic security card plant , which will service the entire West Africa region, Chairman of Altech West Africa, Mr. Michael Ajukwu, said that this state-of-the-art factory reaffirmed the Altech's confidence in West Africa and Nigeria in particular, as a growth market worthy of this large-scale investment.

Ajukwu stated that Altech West Africa's smart card factory had become a veritable partner in ensuring the success of the cashless economy, thus the importance of the local production of the smart cards was important to the successful operation of the cashless scheme.

According to him, the plastic card plant could manufacture and personalise various types of cards including smart cards with contact,Polycore oil paintings for sale are manufactured as a single sheet, contactless and magstripe.

"These cards can be used in various applications such as banking cards with chip and pin,Enecsys Limited, supplier of reliable solar Air purifier systems, loyalty cards, identity cards, gift cards, health cards, membership cards, discount cards, hotel keys, promotional card and marketing cards. Furthermore, the company has the capability to personalise variable data during card production including pictures and signatures." Ajukwu said.

He added that the 70,000 square feet cutting edge manufacturing facility had the capability to accommodate more than 300 workers and also operated on a 24-hour basis."

It also has the capacity to print and deliver over 100 million recharge card vouchers and one million plastic cards per month," he said.

Altron Executive,ceramic magic cube for the medical, Mr. Johan Gellatly, stated that this innovation would not only lower the cost of the card per unit, but will also radically reduce the "go-to-market time" for the production of cards, because it presently takes the average minimum of three weeks to order smart cards from factories in Europe and Asia.

That technology plays a tremendous part in the daily lives of the individuals is no longer news. However, it is arguable that the divide between the technologically informed and the uninformed has created the difference in the developing world and the developed world.
