A ‘dream room’ for Caleb

Caleb Speed is just like any other 6-year-old boy — unless you look closely around the Evergreen home where he lives with his mom,An Air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air. brother and sister.

On a corner of the Speeds’ kitchen counter are bottles of medicine Caleb takes daily to prevent mucus buildup and bacterial infections.TBC help you confidently purchase China ceramic tile from factories in China.

Atop a living-room end table sits a high-frequency chest wall oscillation vest that Caleb uses twice a day. Two long tubes attached to the machine generate an air pulse into the vest, which looks like a life jacket. The air pulses inside the vest help break up mucus and push it upward, making it easier to expel.

He goes to a doctor every three months to get a CT scan on his lungs. Even with the medicine and vest treatments, bacterial lung infections may still take hold leading to hospitalizations.

Yes, Caleb is an absolutely normal boy.

He has a passion for motocross and dreams of someday meeting professional motocross racer Carey Hart. But the medicine and the machines in his home are an important part of his life, too, because Caleb was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was just a month old.

There is no cure for cystic fibrosis, which causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the body, but keeping the mucus minimized is a priority.

That’s put a lot of extra pressure on his mother, Amber, who also is raising Caleb’s 8-year-old brother, Logan, and 9-year-old sister Hailey. As recently as October, Caleb was hospitalized when doctors found a mucus plug blocking his airway.

“He was in the hospital for 10 days and they found he was growing a few different bacterial infections,” Amber said. “He was hooked up to antibiotic IV’s over Halloween.”

It’s been hard for the family and for Amber, but now she is getting some help from local people who want to do something to let Caleb know how important he is.

Glacier High School students and teachers, in conjunction with the Flathead Valley chapter of Special Spaces, are going to design and build a “dream room” for Caleb.

Special Spaces is a Tennessee-based nonprofit with a mission to make over rooms for children with critical illnesses to create a safe and positive environment.

Paula Strickland, director of the local Special Spaces group, heard about Caleb and his family when Amber Speed’s sister, Amanda of Columbia Falls,This page contains information about molds, sent an email about their circumstances.

“When I read what my sister wrote, I cried,” Amber said.

Strickland was touched by what she read,Handmade oil paintings for sale at museum quality, too, and started to put together a project to help the family. Unexpectedly, the project became a family affair for her, too.

That’s because Strickland’s son Tanner, a junior at Glacier High School, heard about Caleb and thought he and his fellow students should get involved.

“I thought it would be cool because there’s a lot of talent, a lot of kids here that want to help, but I was thinking smaller, like kids painting a wall,” Tanner said.

Glacier’s participation became much more than that, however,Listing of Taiwan & China Mold Maker manufacturer & suppliers. after Paula Strickland met Glacier High School Principal Callie Langohr.

As Strickland talked about the floor-to-ceiling project that involved everything from design to construction, Langohr realized this was an opportunity for her students to shine.

“I looked at her and said we can do most of that in-house,” Langohr said, noting that Glacier students were learning everything needed to complete the room in drafting, interior design, textiles and woodworking classes.

Organizations such as the National Honor Society, Student Council and Wolfpack Leadership Club could oversee fundraising efforts as well.

Junior Genna Gray volunteered to design the interior. She is using the computer program Chief Architect to create a floor plan of the room. Gray learned the program in her Housing and Interiors class.

“My role in this project is bringing all of these ideas into one,” Gray said. “Chief Architect allows you to design a floor plan and go into different views to see what the room would look like if it was built.”

Because of Caleb’s passion for motocross, a Fox Racing theme was used in the room. But because he shares a room with his brother, Logan, Caleb made sure Strickland knew to also incorporate horses, his brother’s interest.

Since the boys’ bedroom had pre-existing water damage, which caused stains on the ceiling and mold on the windows, the room has been gutted by area businesses and a new roof put on to get it ready for the Glacier students.

The source of the water damage was that there wasn’t an overhang on the roof of the family’s trailer to siphon water away from the walls. ProBuild, Lilienthal Insulation, Metal Supply and Losleben Construction donated materials and labor to various projects such as the new roof and new windows, drywall and closets.

“Everyone that’s donated time and materials, I’m so greatly appreciative,” Amber said.

A team of Glacier High School teachers now is overseeing students as they complete a variety of projects which are being incorporated into the curriculum.

Dennis Latimer’s Woods II class, for example, is designing and building bunk beds. Also involved are consumer science teachers Joan Herzog and Lori Gray and industrial arts teacher Gordon Sheldon.

Cape May County to expand Canadian-tourist marketing

That headline, from a 2010 issue of Canada's La Presse, and the birding story that accompanied it, represents exactly the type of publicity the county is looking for as it works to expand its Canadian market.

A 2009 survey by the county found that Canadians account for 17 percent of its visitors, the fourth largest group. Tourists from Pennsylvania top the list at 24 percent. This will leave your shoulders free to rotate in their oil painting supplies .

"They say it's very welcoming," said Nicolle Dufour, who works for Cape May County promoting the southern end of the Garden State to her fellow Canadians.

Cape May County tourism director Diane Wieland wants to capitalize on the county's Canadian-friendly reputation.

"Half a million Canadians come to New Jersey," Wieland said. "We believe 70 percent of them come to Cape May County."

Canadians spend an estimated $105 million in Cape May County, said Statistics Canada, the country's official statistics agency.

While that may represent a fraction of the estimated $5.3 billion in tourism revenue generated in Cape May County last year, officials believe the Canadian market has the potential for strong growth.

To keep those numbers growing,Replacement rubber hose and bulbs for Canada and Worldwide. Wieland had Dufour visit the area for a week to meet with tourism officials and representatives from local attractions such as Naval Air Station Wildwood in Lower Township.

The idea was to get ideas on ways to continue to draw what has become an important part of the county's tourism industry.

"The Canadian market is very important because it's a long-haul market. They come here for a week or 10 days or two weeks at a time," said Debbie Bass, assistant director of tourism for the county.

Bass, a longtime Cape May County resident originally from Nova Scotia, said the county celebrated its 40th anniversary of marketing to Canadians in 2010.

The region became an attraction in the 1970s when Canadians discovered the area's numerous campgrounds and warm ocean waters.where he teaches porcelain tiles in the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

"It's a loyal market that loves this area," Bass said.

And it's a market that can expand as consumers' interests change. The new website of Udreamy Network Corporation is mainly selling Ceramic tile ,

Dufour pointed to a current promotion by Canoe, a top Canadian news site, designed to draw birders to Cape May County.

The promotion will end with one prize of a five-day stay in Cape May County, but the benefit is in the exposure it brings, Dufour said.

Canoe's website receives about "5 million clicks a week," Dufour said. "Every time someone clicks on the contest area, we see who is interested in coming to Cape May County. It's also part survey."

Birding, she said, is just of one of the county's draws, along with everything from beaches to golfing.

Golf in the county has received its own publicity, with an article in the magazine Revue Golf AGP International that came complete with a digitally altered version of the famous Wildwoods sign. In the golf magazine's version, the beach balls were transformed into golf balls.

Wieland said a golf contest may be offered next year to target Canadians looking to try their hand at some Garden State links.

Next year, the county, possibly with the aid of a state grant, also plans to advertise on cable television in and around Quebec City, the county's target area, with the aim of advertising early to get Canadians to book earlier.

"People are used to coming to this area, and with the Canadian dollar stronger they are staying longer and upgrading their stay," she said.

Dufour said Canadian ties to the area are often multigenerational.

She pointed to a contest run by another Canadian magazine that asked visitors to write about their favorite stay in the Wildwoods. The contest received hundreds of entries and emotional responses.

The contest winner wrote that she visited the Wildwoods as a child and had returned with her own children. If any food Piles condition is poorer than those standards,

She closed the letter with the line, "Thank you Wildwood for all these childhood beautiful memories."

the Delaware Nation Moves to Sun Power and Solar Manufacturing

While wind farms reign in the State of Oklahoma, the Delaware Nation is capitalizing on the sun. "Solar is more universally applicable technology—the sun shines pretty much everywhere," Bob Magyar, managing director for Unami Solar, the tribe's Trenton, New Jersey-based project developer and consulting firm, told Indian Country Today Media Network. "Analyses done by the federal government show nearly every inch of the Earth gets sunshine, even given variations in weather."

A solar array is under construction on the Delaware Nation tribal complex roof in Anadarko, Oklahoma. LED (light emitting diode) lights, which consume less energy and last longer, will soon replace incandescent lights in the nation's headquarters. And the tribe's Sandy, Utah-based supply and manufacturing firm Lenape Lighting and Manufacturing, LLC, will soon produce LED lights, while Unami Solar will concentrate on solar modules. The tribe is contemplating a separate business arrangement with an
established solar manufacturer to produce solar modules for clean energy companies—prospectively on an international scale.

"Green technology is the wave of the future and it certainly fits in with our culture. We might as well embrace that and make it a part of our economic development," Delaware Nation President Kerry Holton told the Associated Press.Polycore zentai are manufactured as a single sheet,

The 37.5-kilowatt solar array,Use bluray burner to burn video to BD DVD on blu ray burner disc. currently being built by Escondido, California-based Eco One Energy, LLC, will initially supply roughly 30 percent of the building's electricity. Magyar expects the solar panels to be fully installed and commissioned—with the system approved by the local electric utility Caddo Electric Cooperative—by August 1.Free DIY Wholesale pet supplies Resource!

Then, adding LED lights to the tribal complex will further cut back on electricity. "By decreasing the [electricity] load in the building, the solar system will end up powering around 60 percent of the building overall, maybe a little more," Magyar told ICTMN.

The move to solar energy will help the nation save thousands of dollars, and Holton anticipates a return on the tribe's investment within five to eight years. To fund the project, the tribe matched a $250,000 U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) grant, inspired by the Obama Administration's added emphasis on clean energy initiatives in 2009 and its increased encouragement for tribes to pursue wind, solar and geothermal power, meanwhile diversifying their business interests.

Kylah McNabb, a renewable energy specialist with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, assisted the Delaware Nation on obtaining the grant from the DOE. McNabb said the Delaware Nation's project is thought to be the first major solar energy project started by a tribe in the United States.

"This project truly has the potential to set an example for Oklahoma, to set an example for the other tribes about what can be done when you take a focus on green initiatives and really put your mind to it. This is a technology that works," she told the AP.

The Delaware Nation is taking its clean energy initiative to the next level and hopes to play a role in solar development projects across North and South America, said Magyar. The tribe is currently training assembly line employees to manufacture LED lights and solar array parts at its Anadarko-based Lenape Lighting and Manufacturing plant. "Assembly of the LED lighting will begin in earnest probably in about 60 days," Magyar told ICTMN.

Owned by the Delaware Nation, Lenape Lighting and Manufacturing—with offices in Anadarko, Oklahoma; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Monument, Colorado—has applied for Super 8a status under the U.S. Small Business Administration and is targeting the federal government, military and government contractors as clients.

When Lenape Lighting adds solar manufacturing to its credentials, it will create even more jobs throughout southwestern Oklahoma and Anadarko,This is interesting cube puzzle and logical game. a city proud to bill itself as "Indian City USA." Currently about 12 people work at the Anadarko-based plant, and Holton projects those numbers will increase to 100 within a year, reported the AP.

When Lenape's business takes off, the Delaware Nation hopes to play a role in solar projects throughout Indian Country, the U.S. and potentially worldwide. "On a national scope,Customized imprinted and promotional usb flash drives. we hope to sell [solar] modules and LED lighting in other states and areas within a given market," Magyar told ICTMN, adding that solar modules are "universal." Lenape and Unami Solar will manufacture products that can be "shipped anywhere," Magyar explained.
