In addition to the new company jobs, Commerce City spokeswoman Michelle Halstead estimated another 200 construction workers will be hired for the expansion.
Precast Concepts recently acquired Ohio-based Shawnee Mold and moved it to Commerce City to bolster its own StoneBilt Concepts product line. The company makes decorative concrete paving slabs, architectural precast products, and plastic molds for precast concrete garden and architectural products.
UE Compression is building a new 100,000-square-foot building on East 96th Avenue to house custom gas compression system manufacturing and business operations. UE is using Commerce City companies for the construction, and the new facility will add 65 new jobs paying above-average wages.
