More reliable handling, lower profile

More reliable handling, lower profile

The improvements made to the TE449 have been extended to the TE511. The oval steel tubing chassis has been strengthened with more 25CrMo4 chrome-moly steel, reinforcing the steering- head, seat rail rear support and engine mounting, with handling and manoeuvrability being improved due to changes in layout. Suspension is entrusted to Kayaba, front and rear, the latter with upside down shock linkage, the Injection mold fast! which maximises movement without bottoming out. In general the shocks have better, more balanced settings. Now protected at the back, the completely adjustable shock (compression high/low speeds & rebound) is 4 mm shorter and has a softer setting for the first part of the ride, which allows for a lower saddle height. The stiffer front fork setting ensures greater stability. To simplify and lighten the TE511, the wiring of the electrical system has been redesigned and the transparent central section of the fuel tank has been retained. With large diameter Braking discs (front 260 mm, rear 240 mm) little needs to be said as the effectiveness of Brembo brakes is undisputed.

Better engine protection

They say "don't change a winning formula", and the compact single cylinder engine with exhaust valve, crank-case V-Force intake, Mikuni TMX38 carburettor, and the new exhaust (introduced in 2011), has been so successful that the combination remains unchanged for the 2012 version. The design team focused on reliability and the new WR125 now has protection for the lower filter box.

Kayaba forks and brakes

The new WR125 retains the quality fittings from the previous model, such as Kayaba 48 mm forks with external adjustment for both compression and rebound damping, Sachs rear monoshock with progressive linkage and Brembo brakes with daisy wheel discs. All have proved their worth and needed no modification.

WR250: An Affordable Classic

After many years of honourable service and continuous development,Save on hydraulic hose and fittings, the WR250 has reached a level of efficiency and reliability, with Kayaba forks and the new Ducati Energy ignition. The latest version of the Husqvarna WR250 also benefits from a range of common updates for 2012: chassis painted black, anodised silver Excel rims and redesigned graphics. With outstanding performance, exceptional reliability, coupled with affordability no further changes were needed. This bike has all the winning traits, the advantages of a big two-stroke engine with the joy of off-road riding on a small budget.

Black chassis

The single piece chrome-moly steel chassis of the 2012 WR250 is now black not white,Polycore zentai are manufactured as a single sheet, but the technical features remain unchanged. The same Air purifier, cover removed. The light alloy swing arm is attached to the Sachs rear shock by a progressive linkage, while the front suspension has the same 48mm hydraulic fully adjustable Kayaba forks, as used on other Husqvarna enduro racing models. The brakes are Brembo, with a large diameter (260 mm) daisy wheel disc on the front, controlled by a twin piston floating caliper, while in the rear the Husqvarna WR250 comes fitted with a solid disc, often preferred by professional riders for greater control and life expectancy of brake pads,Welcome to the official Facebook Page about Ripcurl. especially over muddy terrain.
